October 2015 Regular Meeting

Congratulations to Bro. Hanrahan who was raised to the 3rd degree on Monday October 19, 2015 at Brant Lodge No. 663.

The Brethren first welcomed W. Bro. Walter Maccalman into lodge as an official visitor on behalf of the D.G.M. of Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean. W. Bro. Maccalman was introduced and given grand honours, then graciously thanked Brant Lodge for the manner in which we paid tribute to W. Bro. Jim Lawless on his death. Both Walter and Jim attended lodge together in Barbados and Anguilla, and Walter ensured that the officers and Master of Brant Lodge were made aware of Jim’s many contributions to the Craft.

W. Bro. Maennling also gave tribute to Bro. Ted Smith, who was a Master Mason, 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason and a Shriner. Ted and Jim will be sorely missed by the members of Brant Lodge, who paid them both respect during a minute of silence.

Continuing on with the evening, Bro. Hanrahan proved his proficiency at an excellent standard, then the Brant Lodge degree team conferred the 3rd degree on Bro. Hanrahan according to Ancient custom.

The work of the evening being ended, the Lodge was closed in Harmony and the Brethren retired to the banquet hall for food and beverages and some social time together.
