The brethren of Brant Lodge were treated to a special evening in which R.W. Bro. Eric Marshall took the gavel and sat in the East to confer the 3rd degree on Bro. Harrison. The business meeting moved along smartly, with good news in our trestle board of new applicants, candidates and affiliations. All a good sign of strength for Brant Lodge. As an example of that strength, R.W. Bro. Marshall enjoyed presenting Bro. Gregory with his certificate from Grand Lodge, his passport throughout the world’s lodges attesting to his being a fully-formed Master Mason.
The degree team performed admirably in setting a solemn and serious tone for Bro. Harrison, whose proficiency was sharp and whose mind will be left with the memories of becoming a Master Mason. In a particularly moving moment, Bro. Harrison gave a short testimonial about the impact Freemasonry has had on his life in general, and the benefit of joining Brant Lodge in particular.
After lodge, Bro. Bonham took charge of the kitchen to serve an excellent meal enjoyed by all.
