On Thursday November 1, Brant Lodge members paid a Fraternal Visit to Living Stone Lodge No. 255 F & A.M., located in Colden, NY, USA. It was their DDGM Official Visit and we were pleasantly surprised at the warm welcome we received!
W. Bro. Matthew Maennling was invited to sit in the East, and W.Bro. Eric Marshall enjoyed the evening from seats in the North of the Lodge.
W:. Master Joseph Gargano opened the Lodge in due form and then welcomed the precessions of Grand Lodge officers including R:. W:. D.D.G.M. Douglas D. Airth who assumed the gavel and supervised several interesting lectures and items of Masonic Education. Topics included Grand Lodge efforts to promote excellence in The Work, a tribute to War Veterans, Charity within the District and the Lodge, and more. It is fair to say that the Brant Lodge Brethren learned more than anyone in the room that evening!
After the Lodge was closed for the evening, everyone retired to the Banquet room for a Strip Loin beef meal and some excellent Fellowship.
Both Lodges’ members will endeavour to extend our Friendship with visitation in the near future, possibly including our own D.D.G.M. visit in April 2013. A heartfelt thank you to the Master and Brethren of Living Stone Lodge No. 25
