2011 Charles A. Sankey Lecture on Masonic Studies

On Sunday March 20, a group of Brant Lodge Brethren attended the 2011 Charles A. Sankey Lecture on Masonic Studies. This year, the topic was “Global Fraternalism: Canadian Freemasons, the British Empire, and the World” and was delivered by Professor Jessica Harland-Jacobs. The event was well-attended, including the Most Worshipful, Grand Master, Raymond S.J. Daniels. The lecture was engaging, and put into context how Masonry contributed to globalism in the 18th and 19th centuries, and shaped Canadian and United States’ society.

Video of this year’s lecture will be made available soon on the Brock University website, so that you can view the lecture and form your own opinion on Professor Harland-Jacobs’ research. A copy of her book was purchased and signed by the author for use by Brant Lodge members:

The 2010 Sankey Lecture is available online now through the Sankey Lectures website.
