Owing to a surge in applicants, the Worshipful Master called an Emergent Meeting October 29 to confer the Entered Apprentice degree on our latest candidate. Bro. Harrison is Hamilton District A’s newest Mason, having been initiated according to Ancient custom. A strong turnout from members and visitors alike made for a warm atmosphere and the degree work was delivered to a high standard, notably our Bro. Junior Warden and Bro. Secretary who delivered the Junior Warden Lecture and Charge with empathy and accuracy.
Continuing Brant Lodge’s move toward more engagement in our membership, Bro. Harrison had been known to the lodge for some months prior to his initiation, and so it was like welcoming a friend into Lodge when he was admitted in due form. His journey into Freemasonry included some silent time to reflect prior to the degree, leaving behind the busy work day and slowing down to enjoy the experience.
The banquet hour following Lodge was a meal served “family style” in an informal setting, with the brethren catching up over salads, roast potatoes, baked chicken and home made dessert. Thank you to Bros. Draghici and Grier for their efforts preparing the meal!
Brant Lodge continues to grow strong new members who have a genuine attachment to the lodge, Masonry and to each other.
