Bro. Gene Doerrsam Funeral Information

Sadly our Brother, Gene Doerrsam, has passed to the Grand Lodge above – members are encouraged to attend his Masonic funeral service on Tuesday January 4 at 6:30PM.

Eugene (Gene) Doerrsam born on December 19, 1936 passed away peacefully on December 25, 2010 after a long illness. Loving husband of Jean (Bond), father of Mark (Carol), Robert (Leanne) and Jennifer Berger (Neil). Grandfather to Krista, Ryan, Bryant, Erin, Leah and Shayla. Survived by his sister Barbara Montague of Wheatley. Member of Brant Lodge #663 Burlington, the Scottish Rite and Ramses Shriners of Hamilton. Worthy Patron of the Lakeview Chapter OES, Burlington. Former Vice-President, Canadian Kodokan Blackbelt Association, National Judo Canada Team Director, Head Coach and founder of The Oakville Hatashita Judo Club. Gene was a leader in the Structural Steel Fireproofing Industry and was well respected for his many contributions to the construction industry spanning over 50 years.

Faithful Brethren of Masonic Brant Lodge No. 663 A.F. & A.M. and visiting brethren are asked to assemble at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 for a service at 6:30 p.m.

Services to be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at 7pm at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600), Oakville. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Shriners Crippled Children Hospital, 2100 Keele Street, Toronto would be appreciated by the family.
